Matt Jonsen
I am a horrible fund raiser, so I will make this brief.
There are a lot of worthy causes out there vying for your attention, time, and money. When I think of the ones that tug the hardest, they all have to do with children. That is why I decided to ride 120 miles for this cause.
As a parent, I see first hand the fragility of children. Being a parent and having spent a lot of time around medical researchers, I also know that children are extraordinarily resilient - if they have someone to champion for them. I try to do that for my children, but who is going to be there for the children whose parents and family are unwilling or unable to be their champions?
It turns out that the Rocky Mountain Childrens Law Center champions the cause of abused and neglected children in Colorado. While the Law Center is a legal organization, their support extends beyond legal advocacy. They are full service Champions, and they deserve our support.
This year especially, the Law Center can use your help. I’ll do all the pedaling and drafting of fundraising letters, you just donate what you can.
Thanks a ton,
Matt
